After the devastation caused by the fire that ripped through our previous venue, we really struggled to find a venue suitable to cater for our needs in the area, but after lengthy discussions with the owners and management of Red Bar & Restaurant in Weybridge, the struggle is finally over. Since the fire we have spoken to many morepotential business and visitors, all of whom, are very excited by this move to our new venue. The entrance price has risen to £10 per week for non members and will remain this price until further notice. Depending on the number of attendees, we will be providing sandwich and food platters to keep the "afterwork hunger blues" at bay!

To add to the already amazing level of service and opportunities we have on offer, we have great pleasure in letting you know that "How can we help you?" (a member of our meetings), have very kindly agreed to offer all our visitors and members FREE canapes and mouth watering nibbles to keep that "after work hunger", at bay!

Touch Business Networking is devastated by New venue:
Noir Bar, Weybridge inferno. . .

I am sad to inform you all that Noir Bar - formerley known as (abaya), our flagship venue for our networking events was involved in a terrible blaze during our most recent meeting and is closed until further notice.

The fire was contained to the right hand side of the upstairs area by the fire services and did not spread to the lower level nor the main club area but water and smoke damage will take a long time to clean up. The smaller of the two roofs has been destroyed and the true extent of the damage is still not entirely known. Nobody was hurt in the fire although there were people inside and outside the club at the time as the Touch Business Networking event was in full swing.

Where do we go from here?

Well as we are not ones to let things like this get in the way, there are talks with new venues already and with a view for the time being, to make the event a bi-weekly event or even a monthly event. We would love to hear from you with ways to move forward, as, we are part of a network of frineds and fellow minded business professionals, and the sooner we move forward, the sooner we can all start from where we left so to speak.

Touch Business Networking is a locally run evening event that is being held at the newly refurbished “Noir Bar” on the Heath Road in Weybridge, every Tuesday from 5pm. It is designed to encourage local businesses to give each other work through a cleverly designed “Referral” system that acts as a genuine lead into companies you may share an interest in or to gain new contact and work.

We are different from the rest

Unlike similar early morning meetings which make you get up at a ridiculous hour and discuss business over a poorly prepared breakfast in a hall or golf club, we hold our meetings in the afternoon/evening to get the most out of our attendees in local, relaxing environments with drinks and nibbles. More business is passed when people are relaxed and a days work is done, rather than in the morning when people are often stressed and their minds are preoccupied on the day ahead.

Introductory Offer - dont miss this!

As an introductory offer, for the first month entrance is only £5 per week and that also entitles you to a free drink upon arrival, name card holder for displaying your business card to other professionals and a handful of our “Referral Slips” which you fill in and hand to people you meet and talk to over the course of the evening.

You are welcome to stay as long as you wish, with the venue being open from 5pm - 11pm.
There are no set arrival or departure times unlike similar events, however every month at 8pm we draw a
business card out of a bowl and the name of the person on the card wins a prize ranging from a bottle of
Champagne to flights and iPods.

 

Summary

This really is a fantastic opportunity to sell yourself in a personal, one to one environment, meeting people from all sectors of business under one roof weekly. It works on the simple basis of - “You give me business and I will give you business” the same ethos as; “You scratch my back and I will scratch yours”. With each attendee carrying around each others cards, you essentially have a sales force working for on your behalf, but you are not paying any commission for any leads or sales, which is more effective than any form of advertising, and vastly cheaper. On top of all this, each member will receive additional advertising, both online and offline with a 40% reduced advertising rate in Totally Media publications.
